Directions to Ballybot Dental Surgery by car: If travelling from the south/Dublin you will follow the motorway until after Dundalk, passing Jonesborough until you approach the Newry exit. This will take you down and around the slip road to a roundabout where you take the exit signposted for Newry City. After taking this exit, you will come down beneath a railway bridge, pass a Church (on the right) and follow this road to the bottom of the hill where there is a slightly confusing set of traffic lights.
You will filter off to the LEFT signposted for the hospital and railway station. This filter joins the main road, you DO NOT have right of way! This is Dominic Street. Follow it past the Dominican Church (it runs parallel to the Buttercrane shopping centre) and you come to a set of traffic lights. Go straight through – this is now Patrick Street. We are approx 500m on the RIGHT hand side. There is ample on-street parking (a few double yellow lines to be avoided). If it is very busy, you could park in the Buttercrane shopping centre. Any problems en route please give us a call and we will hopefully be able to guide you.
Directions to Ballybot Dental Surgery by rail or bus: Newry train station is situated approx. 2 miles from the city centre. There is a free bus shuttle (average journey time 10-15mins) that takes you to Newry bus station – please keep your rail ticket to obtain free bus transport. Once at Newry bus station, you will see the Canal Court Hotel directly opposite the bus station. Stand facing the hotel and look to the left. You will see in the distance Buttercrane Shopping Centre. Walk towards it, the entrance is on the corner of Merchants Quay and Francis Street. When you reach this, walk to the other end of Francis Street where there are traffic lights. At these, turn right onto Patrick Street, where the surgery is less than 2 minutes walk from these lights.
